This session is for all middle level educators and administrators who are having difficulty getting our adolescent students to “share”, “express themselves”, or “engage” with learning.  Remind yourself of some time-tested strategies as well as new-to-you ways to energize our adolescents living and learning virtually to engage with their teachers in meaningful ways to create content that they will want to save as primary source documents in the future.

About the presenter: Sarah Evanson-Atkinson currently serves as the Instructional Coach at Ralph Chandler Middle School in Simpsonville. She earned a Masters Degree in English from Stetson University and studied the Humanities at California State University. Ms. Evanson-Atkinson is National Board Certified, a past top 10 finalist for district teacher of the year, and a devoted middle grades educator of 20 years. She is a Past-President of the South Carolina Association for Middle Level Education (SC-AMLE).  She resides in Greenville with her husband, Jeff, and three children, Ethan, Drew, and Olivia and loves listening to the creek in the backyard and watching little league baseball.
